Sea Rovers has been running dives from Pemuteran, in quiet northwest Bali, since 2008. Its owner is known as Captain Paul, and the dive centre is managed by SSI instructor Wayan Subratha. It is an SSI dive centre that also teaches SDI courses, and the team speaks English, German and Indonesian.
Dives cover the three sides of northwest Bali's diving: the walls and drop-offs of Menjangan Island in West Bali National Park; Pemuteran Bay's reefs, coral-restoration projects, small wrecks and underwater temple garden; and muck and critter sites such as Secret Bay and Puri Jati. Snorkelling trips and dive-and-snorkel packages are also offered, and the company runs separate diving packages in Maluku.
Courses are taught to individuals or small groups of up to four, with online theory available before you arrive. Sea Rovers also has its own lodgings, called Pirate Lodgings. According to SSI, the centre is open from 8am to 8pm every day, closing only for Nyepi. Contact the centre by WhatsApp or through its website for current prices.
