Thalassa Dive Resort Manado — PADI Dive Resort for Bunaken Marine Park, with a Sister Resort in Lembeh

Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing Resort Manado sits in Tongkaina, just north of Manado city on the North Sulawesi coast, facing Bunaken Marine Park. It is a small resort of 13 rooms — family-sized villas overlooking a fish pond, free-standing bungalows with private terraces and single rooms set in the garden — with a pool, spa, restaurant serving Indonesian and home-made Italian food, and its own dive centre and training pool. The same company runs Thalassa Dive Resort Lembeh in the Lembeh Strait, so many guests split a trip between Bunaken's walls and Lembeh's muck diving.

Boat dives head out to Bunaken Marine Park, including sites such as Fukui Point, and north to the Bangka Archipelago. Trips are usually two dives, or three depending on the tide, with an optional night dive, and groups are capped at four divers per guide. The shaded boats carry emergency oxygen and a freshwater tub for cameras, and Nitrox and 15-litre tanks (DIN or yoke) are available on request. Rental wetsuits, BCDs, masks and fins come in sizes for adults and children.

The dive centre teaches PADI courses from beginner level through Advanced Open Water and refresher programmes up to Divemaster and the Instructor Development Course, and describes itself as a PADI 5 Star Dive Center; the team speaks English, Dutch, French, German and Indonesian. Prices are published as a euro price list valid from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 and quotes are given on request; Indonesian citizens get 10% off and KITAS/KITAP holders 5%. Land tours to the Minahasa Highlands and Tangkoko's tarsiers can be added between dive days.
