Two Fish Divers Bunaken is a PADI 5 Star dive centre on the east side of Bunaken Island, at Panggalisang Beach, inside Bunaken National Marine Park off Manado in North Sulawesi. It is part of the family-run Two Fish Divers group, which also has centres in Amed, Nusa Penida, Sanur and Lembeh, and its popular Walls & Muck Safari combines Bunaken with critter diving in the Lembeh Strait.
Diving here is all about walls: the signature sites are Lekuan I, II and III, with Fukui Point, Bunaken Timur and Sachiko Point offering slopes, drifts and overhangs, plus trips to Siladen and Manado Tua. Green and hawksbill turtles are resident, and whitetip and blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, barracuda and big schools of pyramid butterflyfish are regular sightings. Groups are limited to four guests per guide, dives can run to 75 minutes, and the team loads, washes and stores your kit for you. Courses run from Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water through Advanced, Rescue and specialties to Divemaster.
The centre has its own small resort of nine wooden cottages and two garden rooms around an 18-metre pool, with a beach café; as there are no other restaurants on the island, stays are full board. At the time of writing, two dives cost from IDR 1,650,000 including guide, tanks, weights and snacks, full equipment hire was IDR 250,000 a day, Nitrox IDR 150,000 a tank, and accommodation from around IDR 730,000 to 1,100,000 per person per night, full board. Transfers from Manado airport and by private boat (20 to 30 minutes) can be arranged. Check the website for current rates.
