Flora Bay Divers — PADI 5 Star IDC resort on Perhentian Besar

Flora Bay Divers is based at Teluk Dalam on Perhentian Besar, the larger of the two Perhentian islands, alongside its sister accommodation Flora Bay Resort and The Flora Place. It holds PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Resort status and says it is the only centre on the island able to run the full PADI programme up to instructor level.

Professional training is a particular focus: the centre says it has trained more than 700 PADI professionals, with IDCs led by PADI Course Director Azman Sulaiman. Recreational courses run from Open Water and Advanced to Rescue and a range of specialities.

Daily boat trips cover both Perhentian islands and the nearby Anak Pulau islets, including Tokong Laut (Temple of the Sea), Terumbu Tiga, Tanjung Butong and the Sugar Wreck, with whale sharks an occasional visitor. Full-day trips to Redang and Lang Tengah are also offered.
