Tioman Dive Centre — SSI Diamond centre at Tekek

Tioman Dive Centre (TDC), operated by My Scuba Travel and Tours, is an SSI Diamond Dive Centre based at Papaya Resort in Tekek, the island's main village and ferry stop. It runs leisure dives in small groups for certified divers and a full SSI training programme, from Scuba Explorers and Try Scuba through Open Water, Advanced Adventurer, Stress and Rescue and Divemaster.

The centre says it dives more than 22 sites around Tioman, among them shallow, sheltered training spots such as Soyak Island, Renggis Island and Pirate Reef, and deeper, more current-swept sites such as Chebeh, Labas and Tiger Reef. The island's waters also hold more than a dozen wrecks, including a 31m former patrol vessel scuttled in 2012.

TDC is involved with Reef Check Malaysia and Green Fins. At the time of writing, SSI Try Scuba was listed at RM250, SSI Open Water Diver at RM1,470 and the SSI Nitrox programme at RM750, with course prices including equipment rental and certification.
