Thresher Shark Divers — Malapascua PADI 5 Star CDC

Thresher Shark Divers (TSD) has been running dives from Logon on Malapascua Island since 2004 and is a PADI Five Star Career Development Centre. Its courses run from Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water through Advanced, Rescue, Nitrox and a dedicated Thresher Shark Diver specialty, up to a Divemaster internship and PADI IDC. Dives, courses, resort packages and Cebu transfers can all be booked online.

The signature trip is the daily boat run to Kimud Shoal, roughly an hour from the island, where pelagic threshers visit a cleaning station; the operator moved there from Monad Shoal in 2022. Other outings include Gato Island and the local reefs, and there are add-on trips for Open Water divers led by an instructor. Rental equipment and single nitrox fills are sold separately.

At the time of writing, TSD's online shop listed single fun dives around Malapascua from USD 49, a two-dive thresher trip from USD 111, and the PADI Open Water Diver course from USD 474, with park fees of PHP 600 to 700 per day payable on site.
