Blue Planet Divers — Koh Lanta SSI Diamond Dive Center

Blue Planet Divers is an SSI Diamond Dive Center based in Baan Saladan at the northern tip of Koh Lanta. Besides scuba it has a freediving side, with Discover Freediving days, courses and coaching sessions, and it runs snorkelling and family trips too. Courses cover beginner programmes, Bubblemaker for children from eight and Discover Scuba from ten, through specialties such as Nitrox to SSI professional training.

The centre runs three boats with covered decks, dining areas and on-board compressors, and usually offers two different destinations each day. Regular trips go to Koh Haa, Koh Bida and Phi Phi, with three-dive trips for more experienced divers to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang and a northern route taking in the Kled Kaew wreck and Hin Klai. Full equipment is included, and Nitrox tanks and GoPro rental are available. A sister guesthouse, The Dive House, is close by.

At the time of writing, a two-dive Koh Haa or Phi Phi/Koh Bida trip cost 3,300 THB (3,100 THB with early booking), plus the marine park fee.
