Siddhartha Dive Center — SSI Resort Dive Centre with the Kubu House Reef and Boga Wreck, Tulamben

Siddhartha Dive Center is the in-house SSI dive centre of Siddhartha Oceanfront Resort & Spa, a bungalow and villa resort at Kubu on Bali's northeast coast, about five minutes south of Tulamben and the USAT Liberty wreck. The centre has 30 full sets of rental equipment, two Coltri compressors, an NRC membrane system for Nitrox, rinse tanks, lockers and showers, and staff carry and rinse your gear for you.

The house reef in front of the resort is part of the Kubu marine area: about 350 metres of reef with five entry points, coral-restoration structures and critters such as ghost pipefish, roughly 50 metres from shore. At its end lies the Boga wreck, a 50-metre ship sunk in 2012 that sits between 16 and 35 metres and suits Advanced and Deep divers. Daily local trips leave at 8:30 and 13:30 for Kubu and Tulamben by car or on the dive boat Baba (up to 10 guests), and dawn and night dives on the Liberty can be arranged.

Full-day trips with two dives and lunch run to Amed, Padangbai and Nusa Penida, where divers go by car to Padangbai and then about 45 minutes by private speedboat to look for manta rays and, in season, mola mola. SSI courses run from Try Scuba and Open Water Diver through Advanced Adventurer, Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver, with specialties including Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep, Navigation and Wreck.
