
Tauch Terminal Resort Tulamben & Spa is a beachfront dive resort on Bali's northeast coast, "built by divers for divers", with its own in-house dive centre, two pools, a shallow training pool and a spa. The team has more than 30 years of diving experience around Bali, and the dive centre is an SSI Diamond facility teaching every SSI level from Try Scuba and the kids' Scuba Explorer programme through Open Water, Advanced Adventurer, Stress & Rescue and specialties, up to the Dive Control Specialist (Divemaster) professional course. Courses are taught in English, German and Indonesian.
The USAT Liberty wreck is the star attraction, alongside the Tulamben Drop Off, Coral Garden, Kubu Reef, the Kubu Boga wreck, Batu Kelebit, Emerald, Palung Palung and Seraya, and the Japanese wreck at Amed. Day trips also run to Nusa Penida, Padangbai's Blue Lagoon, Menjangan and Secret Bay. The resort has its own Nitrox filling station and Nitrox is free on Tulamben dives, there is a dedicated camera room, and SSI Underwater Photography and Video specialties are on offer.
At the time of writing, the resort's published prices were €75 for two guided dives (guide, tank and weights included, with a surcharge for boat dives), full equipment hire at €25 a day and the SSI Open Water course from €425 per person for two or more. Guests can try a free introductory dive in the pool, and rooms start at around €49 a night. Check the resort's website for current rates.
