Gili Divers Gili Air — SSI Dive Centre near the Harbour, Sister Shop of the Gili Trawangan Resort

Gili Divers Gili Air is the second dive shop of Gili Divers, the operation that started as a small dive shack on Gili Trawangan in 2010 and has grown into one of the best-established centres on the Gilis. The Gili Air shop is a short stroll from the island's harbour and has a beachfront lounge to relax in between dives, with a smoothie bar next door. The team can also help arrange accommodation on Gili Air for dive-and-stay trips.

The centre is affiliated with SSI and carries the company's SSI Diamond and 5 Star rating, and its instructors also teach through PADI, RAID and TDI. Courses run from Try Scuba and a half-day Scuba Review refresher through Open Water, Advanced Adventurer and Stress and Rescue, plus specialties, an Eco Divemaster, Ocean Quest coral propagation and ecology specialties, Divemaster, the SSI Instructor Training Course and Instructor Crossover, and technical diving, although some specialist, eco and pro programmes are run from the Gili Trawangan base. The Gili Air team includes instructors and divemasters who between them speak English, Indonesian, French, Dutch and German.

Daily boat trips visit the reefs and wrecks shared by Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan, among them Shark Point and the Glen Nusa tug wreck, Turtle Heaven, Meno Wall, the Bounty Wreck, Deep Turbo and Manta Point, where mantas, eagle rays and devil rays are most likely in the rainy season. The shop is open daily from 8am to 9pm, and payment is accepted in rupiah by transfer or cash, or by card with a 3% surcharge.
