Gili Air

Gili Air is the closest of the Gilis to Lombok and has a quieter, village feel than Gili Trawangan, while sharing the same dive sites. Turtles, reef sharks and cuttlefish are regulars, and the island's house reefs make for easy shore dives and snorkelling. Dive centres here are generally smaller, which suits divers who want small groups and a relaxed pace, and several are SSI or PADI training centres that teach up to Instructor level. From Gili Air, boats reach sites around all three islands, including Meno Wall, Shark Point and Halik Reef, within a few minutes.
