Oceans 5 Dive Resort — Gili Air SSI Instructor Training Centre

Oceans 5 is a dive resort on Gili Air, the quietest of the three Gili Islands, and one of the island's SSI Instructor Training Centres. Courses run from the SSI Introduction Dive and Open Water Course through Advanced, Rescue and specialties such as Shark Ecology and Perfect Buoyancy, up to Divemaster, Instructor and Assistant Instructor Trainer level. The school's teaching style puts neutral buoyancy first from the very first session.

Fun dives leave daily to sites around Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan, including the Oceans 5 House Reef, Halik Reef, Shark Point, Meno Wall, Turtle Heaven and Nudibranch Heaven. Groups are kept to a maximum of four certified divers per guide. At the time of writing a daytime fun dive costs IDR 700,000 with standard equipment included; 32% Nitrox and 15-litre tanks are available for a small surcharge, and the Gili Matra Marine Park fee is charged separately.

The resort has its own pool bungalows, garden rooms and family bungalows, and runs regular beach and reef clean-ups as part of its conservation work.
