Trawangan Dive — PADI 5 Star CDC and tech centre on Gili Trawangan

Trawangan Dive is on the main beach road of Gili Trawangan and combines a dive resort, hotel and restaurant. It was Lombok's first PADI Career Development Centre and the region's first dive centre to receive the PADI Green Star Award for conservation work. It also runs coral reef restoration and works with the Gili Eco Trust.

Training runs from beginner to recreational instructor, including Divemaster and the IDC, and the centre is also a technical diving centre. Its multilingual PADI and TDI instructors teach Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, Extended Range and Trimix, plus closed-circuit rebreather courses.

Fun dives visit Gili sites such as Shark Point, Deep Turbo, Halik Reef, Turtle Heaven and the Bounty Wreck. At the time of writing, a guided boat dive cost IDR 640,000, a nitrox dive IDR 770,000 and a night dive IDR 790,000, plus a one-off marine park fee of IDR 100,000 and a Gili Eco Trust contribution of IDR 50,000. An underwater photographer can be booked for IDR 400,000 per diver per dive.
