Dive Go Where

Amed

Amed is a string of fishing villages along Bali's far east coast, and one of the island's most relaxed places to dive. Jemeluk Bay's coral slope is a classic training site, the small Japanese patrol-boat wreck at Banyuning sits in just a few metres of water, and the Pyramids at Bunutan are artificial reefs now thick with life. Macro fans come for ghost pipefish, seahorses and nudibranchs, while Gili Selang at the island's eastern tip brings stronger currents and bigger fish for experienced divers. The USAT Liberty at Tulamben is only a short drive north. Accommodation and diving here are good value, and Amed's dive centres run everything from first dives to Instructor courses.
